Where children come first

Year 3

Welcome to Year 3's class page! We will update this regularly with all you need to know! laugh

Your class teachers are Mrs Davies and Mrs Morgan and our LSAs are Miss Phillips and Miss Ratcliffe. 👱‍♀️

During the Summer 1 term, PE will be on Mondays only. We kindly ask that all children wear suitable clothing on this day.👕

The children will be taking part in Forest Schools on a Thursday for this half term. We provide waterproof clothing and wellies for this session, however, a change of clothing would be advised (just in case! 🙂)

Spellings are sent out every Friday on and as a paper copy. Please check and practice them for our test every Friday!

Also on spelling shed, there is a link that will take you to 'Maths Shed'. There are lots of maths games on here for you to practice your tables. We are recapping 2's,5's,10's and 3's this term. You can use this song to help you:

During our Numeracy sessions we also use the website Topmarks - Daily 10 to focus on partitioning, ordering, multiplication and lots more.

Reading at Home

You all have a home reading bag, we give 5 Dojos every time your book is signed and returned to say you have read to an adult! We will change your book whenever you need a new one. You can also access Bug Club which has 5 books set at your reading level to listen to and read, and also some fun games! 📚

We have also introduced the 'Let's Get Reading' challenge. Children will recieve a sticker on their challenge ticket every time they read. Once they complete their challenge ticket they will recieve a special price! 🌟 📚

Mrs Morgan and Mrs Davies will let you know when there is homework to complete on SeeSaw. There will also be set activities to complete - just for fun! We love receiving updates of the work you are completing at home. Keep it up! 👌

Food and Drinks

Please can you select a dinner option before coming to school if you are dinners. School policy is water only in bottles for class (please can all children bring one each day) and fruit for snack at playtime. Other treats and drinks can go in lunchboxes.

Self Isolation

Please see the self isolation planners for relevant home learning for our class and topic.

Thank you for your continuous support. We are really enjoying teaching Year 3 this year...and we still have lots of amazing things planned! Yay!
