Science and Technology is made up of 6 areas. These are:

Design thinking and Engineering (Design Technology)
The world around us and living things (Biology)
Matter and how it behaves (Chemistry)
Forces and energy (Physics)
Computational Thinking (Computer Science)
At Pen Y Bryn we ensure these are covered throughout the year in each year group. Children love learning through hands-on experiences. They carry out many investigations and enquiries, produce results and talk about what they have found out. Titles of Science projects at Pen Y Bryn include '3rd Rock From The Sun', 'Endless Energy' and 'Incredible Engineering'. We have had companies such as Technocamps helping with Computational Thinking, whilst Kier Construction and Wates have helped with the Design and Technology aspect of Science and Technology.
